We'd like to explain the difference between a "best by" date and expiration.
"Best by, "sell by, and "use by" dates indicate the date when an item is at its peak freshness. These items have a long shelf life, but the flavor may not be optimal. On the other hand, expiration dates indicate when a food item may no longer be safe for consumption. Normally, you will see expiration dates on items that can spoil quickly, such as meats, poultry, and dairy.
We rarely carry items with true expiration dates.
Despite this, due to the nature of our business, we may sometimes receive food items that are close to their "best by" date. Our stores have processes to monitor dates closely, and when necessary, we will discount the items to sell them quickly.
If you happen to find an out-of-date item, please notify a member of store management immediately.
